I think it took a year and a half, maybe two years between originally shooting that first footage with Jeremy Connor, the director who co-created Drunk History, to actually starting to shoot the show. Its really striking that so many people Ive talked tolike a novelist the other nightare saying, Oh, Another Period! And then Riki texted that Shonda Rhimes said she wished shed thought of the idea! [Bursts out laughing.] But Paget was not hidden in a wig, or silly glasses in an effort to cover up their double casting, because this was Community; the incredibly smart and witty sitcom that spent an episode playing out multiple timelines. There isnt really a way to not have chemistry with Andy. I mean, come on: it sells itself! I wish he wouldnt do that to himself, though. To poke fun at Brewster's double-casting even further, Frankie claimed that her emails sent back to Debra bounced back in Aramaic and when she called, all she could hear was a loud whistling noise that made her nose bleed.
